Auctioneer Spenser Karns & S.D. Karns Auction Services

Auctioneer Spenser Karns is a 2021 graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College's Auctioneer program graduating with High Honors, Graduating from the Professional Ringmens Institute (PRI) under the tutelage of Brian Rigby and 5x World Automobile Auctioneer champion Dustin Taylor and winning the Professional Ringmens Institute's Scholarship Award in 2021. Spenser married his high school sweetheart, Julie (pictured left), in October of 2015. Julie is Spenser's right hand as well as the business administrator of S.D. Karns Auction Service LLC. Spenser is a Graduate of Pennsylvania State University, and Julie is a Graduate of The University of Pittsburgh.

Although just receiving his license in 2021, Spenser is no stranger to the auction world. His passion began early in his childhood, traveling throughout the Bedford County area with various family members, mainly his dad, Jeff, and his Grandfather, Harry Karns. Spenser is committed to continuing his education, being an active member of both the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association and the prestigious National Auction Association (NAA). He has a vast wealth and variety of knowledge, and eagerness to learn, which sets him apart and into a league of his own in the auction industry. He also works closely with several fellow auctioneers, including long time auctioneer, Frank Brumbaugh, with whom he apprenticed for throughout and following receiving his license.

Beyond the world of fast talking and quick bidding, Spenser is committed to giving back to his community. Spenser is the preferred Auctioneer for Garret County Habitat for Humanity, and  ​​ReNewing Hope Ministries, Inc.   He is constantly sponsoring or donating to a cause or event locally. S.D. Karns Auction Service is also a member of the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce since 2021. 

Spenser is currently accepting new clients for Estate Sales, Business Liquidations, Benefit Auctions, and Consignments for the remainder of 2023 and now into 2024.
